Our Clientele

Founded in 1984, Tech initially focused on training regulators on air quality regulations and air dispersion modeling, while also applying these skills to directly support client projects. Over the years, we’ve consistently provided expert reviews of air pollution studies for state and local agencies, including serving as the sole reviewer of air permit applications for Rhode Island during the 1990s. While our expertise originated in air quality, our project work and third-party review services have since expanded to cover a wide range of topics, including odor, noise, fugitive dust, greenhouse gases, radiation, vibration, mold, and electromagnetic activity. Tech has become a go-to resource for clients with air quality-related needs.

Our client model is built on collaboration. We believe clients are best served when they either work exclusively with us for specialized services or when we act as expert subconsultants to support a full-service firm if the client prefers. What sets us apart from full-service firms with some air quality experience is our depth and breadth of expertise, particularly in air quality and nuisance evaluations. Our team members have highly focused, hands-on experience with all commonly available solutions, enabling us to provide a comprehensive, unbiased, and practical approach. Our longstanding role as regulatory trainers, trusted third-party reviewers, and permit application evaluators for regulatory agencies further distinguishes us.

Today, Tech continues to support a diverse range of clients—from project proponents and full-service design teams to regulators, industry groups, and even concerned citizens. We provide concise studies, designs, troubleshooting, expert testimony, third-party review services, and personnel training.
