DESCRIPTION:

Tech performed rapid-response hydrogen sulfide testing at a fuel and liquid asphalt distribution terminal in the northeast U.S. There were concerns of worker exposure to hydrogen sulfide and there had been complaints from the neighbors regarding asphalt odors where liquid asphalt is delivered to an asphalt plant. Tech performed the testing over a period of two days, using Draeger tubes to conduct the testing at the asphalt storage tank. In addition to performing this testing, Tech researched Odalog H2S data loggers for future testing at the asphalt plant where neighbors are complaining about asphalt odors.­
