Fourmile Ridge Project

DESCRIPTION:

Tech performed acoustic modeling for the proposed 40-MW Fourmile Ridge Wind Project, in Maryland. The Project consists of 16 Nordex N100 2.5-MW (100-m hub height) wind turbines and the sound impact assessment needed to be performed at approximately 60 residential receptors. Tech assessed compliance of the wind farm with the state of Maryland Department of Environment (MDE), which sets a maximum nighttime sound level of 55 dBA at a residential property. Using a 3-D model, Tech performed acoustic modeling and demonstrated compliance with the MDE sound limit of 55 dBA.
