Air Quality and Greenhouse Gas Studies for Everett Casino

DESCRIPTION:

Tech was tasked with the job of performing studies for three rounds of MEPA review for a proposed casino in the greater Boston area. These studies included the air quality and the greenhouse gas (GHG) analyses. Tech used their knowledge of the MEPA review process to conduct a mesoscale air quality study, involving traffic volumes, and an energy and CO2 emissions GHG analysis using the U.S. Department of Energy eQuest model. The latter emissions were calculated for two cases; a building code-compliant Base Case and a Mitigation Case. Tech provided the team with energy saving measures that would promote sustainable development and a report for use in the EENF.
