SERVICE:
Indoor Air Quality Testing
DESCRIPTION:
Due to recent flooding, the employees of Northeast Behavioral Health were concerned about possible health hazards, in regards to air quality inside the building. Tech was asked to conduct a general indoor air quality test. Tech staff performed general air testing in four locations, and also tested for airborne mold spores. The air monitoring was conducted for carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), temperature, and relative humidity. Of these four parameters measured, all were within acceptable ranges and the CO concentrations were below detectable limits. These measurements indicated that there was an adequate amount of clean outdoor air infiltrating the building and the airborne samples indicated that there was no mold growth occurring inside the building. Tech made the recommendation to maintain the HVAC system as it was currently operating, adjusting temperature as necessary.
