Basell Cogeneration Project

Cogeneration Plant Noise Impact Study

DESCRIPTION:

Basell USA is a polypropylene/polyethylene manufacturing facility who was proposing to build and operate a 30-MW cogeneration plant in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.

Tech Environmental completed a noise analysis for the proposed project to determine its potential effects on the surrounding community.  The analysis concluded that the maximum sound levels from the project, with some mitigation, would increase sound levels 0 and 1 dBA at most receptors which is an imperceptible change.
