Indoor Air Quality & Mold Assessment

DESCRIPTION:

Employees of Fallon Health Care on the 11th floor of the 100 Front Street building in Worcester, Massachusetts were concerned of poor air quality in their offices. The management company for the building contacted Tech Environmental to conduct a screening level indoor air quality (IAQ) investigation.

The investigation included airborne mold spore samples taken at indoor and outdoor locations and an indoor inspection for visible mold growth. Since excessive humidity levels can lead to mold growth, Tech also collected measurements of temperature and relative humidity to assess moisture levels at the indoor mold spore sampling locations. The study concluded that there was no existing source of mold in the offices. After this study, Tech continued to perform annual air testing for temperature, relative humidity, and carbon dioxide (CO2) at different offices located at 100 and 120 Front Street in Worcester.
