Pump Station Construction Noise Impact Study

DESCRIPTION:

Concerns of construction noise associated with a pump station in Briarcliff Manor, New York prompted the need for a construction noise assessment.  The primary concern was for noise increases to residents that lived along the road where the new forcemain was to be located.

Tech Environmental assessed the temporary noise impacts from the construction of the pump station and associated pipeline, and determined that the temporary noise increase from the construction would be louder than typically allowed for a permanent project, but still would not be a nuisance given the extremely short duration and the ultimate benefit from the project.
