SERVICE:

Radiofrequency Study for Cell Tower

DESCRIPTION:

Wellesley College installed communications antennae on the top of the campus water tower, raising potential radiofrequency and microwave concerns. As a proactive measure, Wellesley hired Tech Environmental to assess the radiofrequency and microwave levels to workers and the surrounding environment in accordance with Federal Communications Commission and Environmental Protection Agency requirements.  Tech Environmental staff climbed the tower, took the measurements, and prepared a detailed exposure assessment report.

All readings were found to be within acceptable guideline limits.  Worker, student and faculty concerns were answered proactively with the measurements in-hand and a report that discussed the levels in relation to health effects and international standards.
