DESCRIPTION:

The air quality within an office at Talbots' Headquarters in Hingham, Massachusetts was questioned after a prolonged period of heavy rain, and an outside air quality expert was desired to make an assessment and recommendations for improvement, especially if elevated levels of mold were detected.

Tech Environmental conducted a level indoor air quality (IAQ) investigation which included airborne mold spore samples taken at two indoor locations and one outdoor location and an indoor inspection for visible mold growth.  Tech also measured typical HVAC factors that would enhance mold growth.

A visual inspection showed that while there likely had been a small water leak near a window  there were no visible sign of wetness or mold growth.  The mold spore measurements provided clear evidence that there was no indoor source of mold spores in the office of concern. These finding put the office workers at ease.
