DESCRIPTION:

A landfill in Brockton, MA needed a new air permit from MassDEP.  A BACT analysis to prevent excessive sulfur dioxide emissions was also required.

Tech worked on the re-permitting project for the landfill. The project included a pre-permitting meeting with MassDEP and a new non-major comprehensive permit application.  A major portion of the application was the preparation of a BACT analysis to limit sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions from the landfill, in order to satisfy MassDEP requirements and allow the landfill to obtain a new permit. The project was completed successfully.
