DESCRIPTION:

A Vermont AOT engineering and environmental review of VTDEC stormwater regulations as they applied to linear roads and bridges projects, was undertaken by Tech staff. The project identified permit requirements in conflict with the timing, construction practices and budgetary assumptions of major projects, through field investigations and feedback provided.

An inter-agency review identified that permit requirements were best fit for conventional land development practices. A catalogue of regulations was developed for transportation projects.
