DESCRIPTION:

A noise and vibration analysis was desired to examine potential noise reduction options for the relocation and construction of a local roadway.

Tech conducted a sound and ground vibration survey during specific traffic conditions to document the existing ambient sound and vibration levels both inside and outside of the facility. Measurements were made to determine how the community was being affected by facility noise, and the extent to which the residents were being affected by other extraneous environmental noise sources. The maximum sound pressure levels at the nearest property lines and residences were modeled.  Cumulative sound energy levels were compared to the measured existing levels. Mitigation options were provided to minimize disruption during construction.
