Noise Analysis for 38-MW Wind Project

DESCRIPTION:

Highland New Wind Development proposed to install 19 2-MW wind turbines in northwestern Virginia, where high elevations provide strong winds.

 Tech Environmental performed a community sound assessment for the wind energy project. Tech performed acoustic modeling with a sophisticated 3-D acoustic model to demonstrate compliance with EPA Noise Guidelines. Compliance was demonstrated for various design wind speed conditions.
