Energy Facility Noise Impact Analysis

DESCRIPTION:

A wood-fired combined heat and power plant was proposed for a site in Ellicottville, New York. The energy project was sited in a location near residences and other noise-sensitive locations. A noise impact analysis for the project was required to demonstrate compliance with applicable noise regulations.

Tech performed a noise analysis of the proposed project, including process equipment and wood chip delivery trucks. The noise analysis determined that the proposed project would be in compliance with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) noise criteria and Federal EPA residential noise guidelines.
