DESCRIPTION:

A proposed Federal Express distribution center in Middleborough, Massachusetts required a noise impact study in order to obtain the proper operating permits. 

Tech evaluated the sound level impacts from the proposed distribution center to determine whether the future operation would comply with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) Noise Policy.  The analysis included acoustic modeling to conservatively predict sound levels from project operation.  The study concluded that the proposed distribution center would comply with the MassDEP Noise Policy and would not create a nuisance condition at nearby residential properties.
