Odor Response Action Plan

DESCRIPTION:

Tech was asked to prepare an response plan for the Hardwick Landfill in Hardwick, Massachusetts. The purpose of this plan was to formalize procedures for quickly and effectively responding to odor complaints.

The Odor Response Action Plan included a review of the existing permits and consent order, the facility layout, and neighborhood. The plan included substantial sections describing the efforts made to date to reduce odor, the limitations placed on incoming waste, the proposed odor monitoring program, odor complaint response procedures, and odor identification training program for operators.
