A awnings manufacturer was concerned about potential health effects from emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC) from fabrics being used on a fabric press at their facility in Malden, Massachusetts.

Tech performed screening monitoring at the end of the day when the emissions level would be highest. The measurements of total VOC were below the health criteria for the individual VOC compounds that were identified as potential pollutants by the fabric manufacturer.
