Worker Dust Exposure Assessment

DESCRIPTION:

Tech Environmental performed sampling of Particulate Matter (PM10) and Respirable Particulate Matter (PM2.5) in the dry mix department of the Bake-N-Joy production facility in North Andover, Massachusetts during operating hours. Measurements were taken at multiple locations within the production facility where employees are typically exposed to airborne particulate matter during a work shift. The sampling results were averaged to determine an 8-hour time-weighted average of employee exposure to PM10 and PM2.5 at each workstation.

The results showed that time-weighted average (TWA) exposure levels at all workstations were less than the recommended US and industry worker health guidelines.
