DESCRIPTION:

Tech provided technical assistance and expert testimony to D&K, where requested, for a new Rutland Home Depot. This work included: obtaining a waiver from the Agency of Natural Resources (ANR) for an indirect source permit (or a new permit), air quality and noise studies to provide evidence under Criterion 1 & 8 for the Act 250 application, and expert testimony.

The noise assessment consisted of baseline sound level measurements at three sensitive locations to establish existing background sound levels on the property lines and near existing homes adjacent to the site. It compared the operational sounds that will be generated by The Home Depot to appropriate sound level criteria for residential areas. The Act 250 permit has been issued.
