Meatball Factory Air Permit Assistance

DESCRIPTION:

One of the largest producers of meatballs in the New England area hired Tech to assist with air permitting challenges with respect to odor control, dust, and opacity. There were odor and grease emissions that were extending beyond the property line that were considered nuisances. Essentially particulate control was being used by the state regulatory agency as a surrogate for odor and air emission control. Tech performed an odor capture assessment for the existing ductwork and explored the potential impact of uncapture emissions on factory workers. Tech made specific ductwork, dispersion and odor control recommendations to improve the capture and treatment of the oven emissions.
