Mr.
Guldberg is the founder of Tech Environmental. He has over
31 years of
experience as an air quality and noise consultant dealing with
impacts from energy, transportation, and industrial sources.
Since 1977, he has taught courses on air dispersion modeling, meteorology, and air
quality permitting to over 1,400 professionals.
Mr. Guldberg has also prepared and given expert testimony in court and in hearings before
Environmental Boards in five states, and in hundreds of public
hearings on air quality and noise issues.
Mr. Guldberg's noise impact experience includes conducting noise monitoring
studies, noise impact modeling, and designing noise reduction
strategies. Additionally, his experience includes new electric power generating
stations, regional warehouses, shopping centers, and urban
re-development projects. He has performed studies at over
100 sites for five major supermarket chains, big box retailers
(The Home Depot), the U.S. Postal Service, and the United Parcel
Service. Mr. Guldberg has also served as an expert witness on noise
regulations and impacts before state and local government boards (including the Massachusetts Energy Facilities Siting Board and the
Maryland Public Service Commission), and in public hearings.
Mr. Guldberg has a B.S. in Mathematics from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Atmospheric Science from
the University of Michigan. He holds national
certification through the American Meteorological Society (AMS) as
a Certified Consulting Meteorologist, and is a member of the
Institute of Noise Control Engineering and the Acoustical Society
of America. Mr. Guldberg serves on the Board of Directors of the
Environmental Business Council.
